Daily Devotional

— Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

HELPFUL TIP

Turn TV time into fitness time. Walk or jog in place or on a treadmill, lift weights, or do yoga while you binge your favorite series. Don’t forget to include your family! Challenge each other to see who can do the most sit-ups, push-ups or jumping jacks during a commercial break.

PROGRAMS

Among all the treatments and breakthroughs our doctors have made in managing side effects and treating cancer, the support and bond that brings us together is what makes us human. Our assistance extends to those who not only need emotional support, but financial as well. This is all part of why Franciscan Health is at the forefront in the fight against cancer.

A trusted leader in faith-based, integrated healthcare, Franciscan Health brings together the latest technology, innovative procedures and highly skilled and compassionate employees to serve our patients. Your gift to any of our hospitals helps us continue “Christ’s Ministry in our Franciscan Tradition” by serving everyone with respect and compassion.

One of the goals of Franciscan Health is to provide better care and better health at lower costs. Encouraging and stimulating pioneering ideas is one way to do that. Your support of our Innovation Fund gives us an opportunity to pursue innovative healthcare delivery models.

Your gift to Lynn’s Boutique in South Suburban Chicago helps women suffering from cancer regain a sense of personal pride that’s often lost or hidden during cancer treatment. The boutique provides a lovely and respectful environment for bra and prosthesis fittings.

When babies are born prematurely or with special health needs, they require specialized care. Franciscan Health’s Neonatal Intensive Care units provide the expert care and state-of-the-art technology needed to treat some of the most vulnerable newborn babies. Your gift to this unit is a gift to families in a time of crisis.
