Day 23 Devotional

Have you ever been out for a daily walk or run and noticed a house with their garage door up, and you inventory if the garage is clean or cluttered. If it’s messy, maybe you feel less alone. But if it’s organized, you may be green with envy. Perhaps it’s been on your to-do list since last fall––or the fall before that one. 

Sometimes we feel overwhelmed at the thought of doing something, so instead, we just avoid it, hoping it’ll somehow improve on its own. Well, squirrels have yet to pitter-patter into someone’s garage and organize it while they sleep, so unless we hop to it, it’s only going to get worse.

The same can happen where your faith is concerned. Sometimes when life deals you several bad hands, your faith can falter. It can be easy to slide into that negative mindset to convince yourself that nothing ever works out. But if you pay attention, there are signs of faith all around you. And if it’s not evident in actual things you see, just start talking to people. Nearly everyone has at least one incredible story of faith.

God’s love knows no bounds. And that’s even better than a clean garage!
