Day 26 Devotional

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

Verse: Psalm 90:12 (NIV)

Surely you’ve heard the advice, “Live each day as if it were your last.” Many know what it’s like to suffer financial, physical, mental, and spiritual struggles. When we’re separated from those we love by miles or their heavenly home, it isn’t surprising people take this adage to heart more than ever before.

The good news is that we are never distant from God. He’s there for us night or day. Even if we’re angry with him. It’s not unusual to heave our anger at God when someone special is taken from our lives, we miss out on that promotion or the burdens feel too heavy. Even if you give God the silent treatment for a good nine months. And guess what? God understands that and will still love you through your pain. Because when you weep, He weeps with you. And when you rejoice, He rejoices with you. God is wise beyond anything we can ever imagine, so don’t be afraid to lean on Him daily, in good times and in bad.
