Franciscan Health Foundation – Doing Good in Our Communities

P E A C E Initiative Programs
The PEACE Initiative combines the strength of each of the Franciscan Foundation offices to bring together doctors, partners and community members along with 18,000 Franciscan Alliance employees to impact those in need. Through a comprehensive giving program, each and every contribution has an impact on the future of communities where our patients and associates live, work, learn and play.
Comfort
those who need it
Comfort those who need it by becoming a source of peace, joy and light. Gifts to Comfort console families that have experienced a loss; nurture people in the last moments of their lives; spiritually support our staff and patients and more.

PROGRAMS

Each of the communities we serve has identified health issues our hospitals can help address. Gifts to this fund support those Franciscan Health initiatives while also helping underprivileged patients receive needed services and medications.

provides a home-like, compassionate environment for superior end-of-life care. With a growing need for inpatient and palliative care, your gift helps ensure no patient will be turned away regardless of financial means. Hospice House affirms and celebrates life and regards dying as a natural process recognizing every person has the right to die with dignity, peace and comfort.

Support groups help people see they aren’t alone in their struggles with a lifelong disease. They can help people learn coping strategies and tips for everyday life. Your gift supports a group of men and women living with multiple sclerosis in South Suburban Chicago who support each other through meetings, social gatherings and friend communications. Membership is free and family and friends are encouraged to attend.

Support families in Central Indiana who have lost a child due to miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death. This support group was established with the vision of providing parents a safe and sacred place to share stories of their precious babies. This program is offered free of charge to families.

Treating cancer can be a rocky ride of radiation, treatments, chemotherapy and surgeries. This cancer survivorship program in Central Indiana cares for the whole person – mind, body and spirit – during and after cancer treatments. Your gift allows us to help people on their wellness journey and throughout recovery – teaching them to never give up.

Help give terminally-ill patients dignity, peace and comfort in their final days. Your gift helps meet a growing need for high quality, end-of-life care. Franciscan Hospice affirms and celebrates life and regards dying as a natural process, recognizing every person has the right to die with dignity, peace and comfort.

Spiritual Care is at the core of our mission and values. Your gift supports training and professional development for Franciscan Health chaplains. This fund also helps our chaplains respond to patients who lack financial resources for necessities like clothing and transportation.
