Daily Devotional

— Hebrews 6:10 (NIV)

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”

HELPFUL TIP

Call ahead. If donating to a local shelter or food pantry, find out what their greatest needs are first, then collect and drop off items on their wishlist.

Franciscan Health Foundation – Doing Good in Our Communities

P E A C E Initiative Programs
The PEACE Initiative combines the strength of each of the Franciscan Foundation offices to bring together doctors, partners and community members along with 18,000 Franciscan Alliance employees to impact those in need. Through a comprehensive giving program, each and every contribution has an impact on the future of communities where our patients and associates live, work, learn and play.
Protect
our most vulnerable

Protect our most vulnerable communities by providing access to safe, nurturing environments. Gifts to Protect support projects that nurture newborns, help people suffering from depression or grief return to a healthy lifestyle, advocate for seniors, care for sexual assault victims and more.

PROGRAMS

Franciscan Health provides a full spectrum of behavioral health services that focus on treating the whole individual: mind, body and spirt. Many people dealing with behavioral health issues such as family difficulties, career pressures, anxiety, depression or a loss of self-worth, can get better with the help of Franciscan Health’s dedicated behavioral health team. Your support will go a long ways toward helping them take that first crucial step: finding the help they need to return to a normal life.

When a sexual assault victim arrives at the Center of Hope, they are arriving at a safe, secure, calm and compassionate place. Our specially trained nurses, certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE), help the victims relax and begin focusing on recovery. Your support for this center helps people heal emotionally, physically and spiritually.

This new fund assists the most vulnerable populations in the communities we serve by addressing economic stability, quality education and healthcare access.

The Grace Project assists families affected by the opiate crisis and has one purpose – deliberate acts of kindness. Your gift can provide formula and diapers, help with bills and enroll mom and dad in parenting classes. Extending grace motivates parents to stay employed, progress in their recovery and give their baby the best possible start in life.

Senior citizens or incapacitated adults without the support of nearby family, need an advocate to make sure they have access to the care they need. Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults (VASIA) program in Northern Indiana trains volunteers to become temporary legal guardians for patients in these special circumstances who have no support structure of family or friends to speak for them.

Franciscan Health partners with women and children through every phase of their life. Your gift helps us provide free educational opportunities and health screenings in the community as well as special nursery equipment to provide a smoother and safer transition for babies born prematurely in our family birthing centers.
